Goods In Kind Reporting Coordinator


The Goods In Kind Department (GIK) is seeking an individual to provide support in all GIK container feedback & tracking, container movement, customs clearance. Individual will update and prepare reports on AS/400 and Microsoft Dynamics, coordinate travel and meetings, conduct research on Internet and AS/400.

Skills include:
  • English/Spanish a must
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, and computer skills (Excel, Internet, Outlook, Word, AS/400)

Education: High school diploma with additional post-high school courses preferred.
Experience: At least two years of related experience. Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.

Production Coordinator Print Buyer


Execute, coordinate and manage the production of direct mail appeals and acquisitions to insure a cost effective, high quality product with on time delivery. Responsible for the entire production process from inception to completion, including but not restricted to specifications, quoting, negotiating, purchasing, proofing, job coordination (internal & external), mail tracking, reconciliation of invoices & cost analysis reports. Must possess a thorough knowledge of printing, direct mail and USPS procedures and regulations. In addition, you need to be extremely detail oriented, strong organizational ability and aptitude for figures. Self starter, flexible, schedule driven. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. At least 5 years experience in a production environment within the graphics industry with a strong background in direct mail and the purchasing ofprinting matter. Some travel is required.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Radio On-Air Fundraiser


We are seeking a passionate, experienced individual with excellent oral communication skills to lead donor development radio campaigns. This position requires the ability to travel extensively, host radiothons, and be able to represent the needs of the poor of the Caribbean and Latin America on air. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, advertising and broadcast.

Education: BA degree or equivalent in related field.

Knowledge: Understanding of the Christian radio market and general media marketing.

Church, School, and Community Development Project Coordinator


This full-time position follows up on Speaker assignments/evaluations to promote participation from churches and their related organizations in special projects for FFP, creates and develops long-term relationships with churches, schools, business and/or community groups to foster their commitment, increase donations, and raise restricted funds; represents Food For The Poor at community meetings, develop plans for fundraising with clients, create and send follow up packages with special project information to potential donors. Other job related duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree is preferred with at least three years of sales, marketing, public relations or fundraising experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment. Fundraising background is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Presentation skills. Ability to establish and maintain relationships. Ability to take initiative and follow through with projects.

Web Manager


Food For The Poor is seeking a Web Manager to partner with the Emerging Media Director to establish Internet production, communication and marketing plans that support and advance our donor development and acquisition strategies. The Web Manager will formulate online creative and technical policies, principles, procedures and concepts for web media content based on commonly used best practices within the Internet industry that meet the business objectives of the organization; Increase number of new donors and repeat donations in addition to improve lifetime value through email communication; Coordinate marketing and communication initiatives with other fundraising channels; Supervise Web Content Specialist and Design and Development Specialist.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Research, recommend and develop new online marketing opportunities
  • Implement and manage front-end prospecting plans, donor acquisition, and fundraising on the Internet
  • Manage online promotions and campaigns from other departments from concept to production
  • Working with internal teams and outside vendors to generate maximum online traffic and donations
  • Use web metrics and analytical tools to provide statistical reports on user and visitor behavior while interpreting data to make marketing and development recommendations
  • Work actively with other departments to develop and improve their programs

BA degree in a related field (marketing, advertising, web design, etc.) Proficient in html, graphic design, email marketing, word processing and spreadsheet applications. Software: Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite. Convio and Silverpop experience a plus.

Food For The Poor, Inc. is seeking a confident and energetic professional to coordinate and expand the fundraising departments’ activities to raise funds to carry out the mission and vision of the organization. The other qualities that will be beneficial include:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to fundraising
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree in related field. Post graduate work a plus.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in fundraising management and multi-channel fundraising.

Clergy for our Speakers Bureau


Clergy needed to be the voice of Christ on behalf of the poor. Full Time and Part Time positions are available at times for English and bi-lingual (Spanish) speaking Roman Catholic Priests and Deacons, Episcopal Priests, Lutheran Pastors and Methodist Ministers. Those interested would preach throughout the US on behalf of Food For The Poor's ministry to destitute families in Latin America and the Caribbean. Commitment is only for weekends.
