Special Events Gift Acquisition Coordinator


We are looking for a qualified candidate to work as part of the Special Events and Marketing Team as a Gift Acquisition Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

  • The acquisition of donated prizes for both silent and live auctions. Responsible for obtaining prizes for 8 events per year (approximately 100 prizes per event).
  • The acquisition of high-end travel trips to be used for raffles.
  • Researching of new and unique prizes.
  • Telephone solicitation experience.
  • Detailed tracking of prize inventory.
  • Post auction analysis.
  • Ability to write well and edit.
  • Ability to travel, work weekends and nights as needed.

Must possess excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in person, with donors, corporate representatives and vendors. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Publisher.

Vice President of Fundraising


Are you looking for a challenge to coordinate the various fundraising efforts for the fifth largest charity and the largest international charity in the U.S.? Are you ready to make the best choice of a lifetime? We have been in operation for over 27 years, and we have many challenges to help to alleviate the hunger and poverty of our brothers and sisters in many of the Caribbean and Latin American countries where we serve.

Food For The Poor, Inc. is seeking a confident and energetic professional to coordinate and expand the fundraising departments’ activities to raise funds to carry out the mission and vision of the organization. The other qualities that will be beneficial include:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to fundraising
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree in related field. Post graduate work a plus.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in fundraising management and multi-channel fundraising.

Clergy for our Speakers Bureau


Clergy needed to be the voice of Christ on behalf of the poor. Full Time and Part Time positions are available at times for English and bi-lingual (Spanish) speaking Roman Catholic Priests and Deacons, Episcopal Priests, Lutheran Pastors and Methodist Ministers. Those interested would preach throughout the US on behalf of Food For The Poor's ministry to destitute families in Latin America and the Caribbean. Commitment is only for weekends.
