3 children in need who could be helped with corporate matching gift programs

Corporate matching gift programs are a powerful way for companies and employees to unite and create lasting change. When you and your employer participate in a matching gift program, your donation to Food For The Poor could go twice as far — providing more meals, safer homes, and greater hope to families living in extreme poverty.

These programs not only strengthen corporate social responsibility efforts but also inspire employees by giving them the opportunity to make an even greater impact. Your matched gift helps bring lifesaving aid and new opportunities to the most vulnerable communities we serve.

Use the corporate matching gift database below to see if your employer participates. Your gift could double in just a few simple steps!

After selecting your company, you’ll see their matching gift policy and eligibility guidelines. Many companies make it easy to complete the match request online.

STEP 3:
 Submit your matching gift request

Complete the necessary forms and submit your request. Done! You’ve just helped even more families in need — simply by using your company’s matching gift program.

Each company sets its own guidelines, but many offer matching gifts to:

• Full-time or part-time employees
• Spouses of employees
• Retired employees

Taking just a few extra minutes to request a matching gift can multiply your generosity. Your support brings even more life-changing assistance — including food, clean water, housing, and hope — to the families who need it most.

We’re deeply grateful for your compassion and commitment to uplifting others.

A corporate matching gift program is a philanthropic initiative in which a company donates an amount, often equal to or greater than an employee’s donation, to the same charity.

Here’s an example. Let’s say you work for State Farm and donate $100 to Food For The Poor. State Farm’s matching gift policy has a minimum gift requirement of $25 and matches at a 1:1 ratio. After you submit your matching gift form, State Farm will double your donation by also writing a check for $100. Gifts from part-time workers and retirees may also qualify for a match.

It’s a quick and easy way to double your contribution!

DONATE
Make a donation and save your tax receipt. Many matching programs will allow for up to one year after you’ve made your donation to request a corporate match.

Yes! It’s not too late to apply for a matching gift! Many companies allow employees to submit match requests for 1 year following the date of the donation.

It’s still possible that your employer will match your donation, even if you don’t find your company on our list. Check with your company’s HR manager and ask if your donation can be matched.
