Help Families Affected by Hurricane Ian
Hurricane Ian, the 5th-largest hurricane to hit the U.S., accelerated its path toward South Carolina’s coast after it slammed into Florida’s west coast as a Category 4 hurricane and barreled across to the state’s east coast.
1.9 million people are still without power in Florida, and South Carolina is also expected to experience widespread power outages.
Your help is urgently needed to supply cleaning products and other items specifically requested from partners in communities pummeled by Hurricane Ian’s massive destruction.
You can donate supplies in person at FFTP headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida, or you can join the relief effort online through Amazon Smile.
FFTP is ready
Because of donors like you, FFTP and its trusted partners are positioned and ready to serve families and communities that desperately need disaster relief.
On Thursday, Sept. 29, FFTP began preparing to send a tractor trailer of relief items from its Coconut Creek, Florida, warehouse to the Florida Catholic Conference.
FFTP is also working together with the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church to send additional requested items.
We cannot ask too much of God
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian’s massive destruction on Florida’s Gulf Coast and in Central Florida, and now as it thunders toward a possible landfall in Charleston, South Carolina, FFTP is here to help.

With your help, FFTP is collecting specific relief items to assist the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church with hurricane relief.
You can drop off items from the list at FFTP’s Coconut Creek, Fla., warehouse starting today and on weekdays from 9 am – 4pm.

FFTP volunteers will package those relief items in 500 5-gallon buckets during the week of Oct. 3.
How You Can Help
Drop off cleaning supplies listed below or 5-gallon buckets to the FFTP warehouse, 6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Fla., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Here are the specific items needed:
- Five-gallon round bucket with resealable lid
- 32-64 oz. bottle liquid laundry detergent
- 16-40 oz. bottle liquid concentrate household cleaner
- 16-34 oz. bottle dish soap
- 4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener
- 6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent
- scrub brush, re-useable cleaning wipes, scouring pads, clothespins, clothesline, heavy-duty trash bags, N95 particulate respirator dust masks, kitchen gloves, and work gloves.
