Since 2000, Food For The Poor has worked to help impoverished families in the Dominican Republic. From building homes to providing emergency aid and developing sustainable projects to break the cycle of poverty, FFTP remains focused on moving families from desperation to independence.

Our Impact in the Dominican Republic

FFTP strategically unified its efforts through one in-country partner, the national office of Caritas Dominicana, located in the national district of the Dominican Republic - Santo Domingo with the goal of extending its reach from only two dioceses to reach residents in need throughout the country.

FFTP responded with urgently needed aid to the Dominican Republic in response to Hurricane Fiona.

FFTP sent 29 tractor-trailer loads of items specifically for COVID-19 relief.
