COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (Aug. 30, 2013) – The Christian music artist Don Moen has teamed up with Food For The Poor to offer You Will Be My Song from his most recent album, Uncharted Territory, as a gift to the charity’s supporters.
“It is my prayer that this song will encourage people to lift their intentions up to the Lord,” said Moen, a singer, songwriter and worship leader. “Remember, God is always working in ways you cannot see or understand at the time.”
You Will Be My Song can be downloaded for free on Food For The Poor’s website from Sept. 4 – 13.
Food For The Poor’s radio “Day of Hope” campaigns nationwide are ongoing to raise money and awareness to help fight chronic malnutrition in Guatemala and Haiti. The song also will be available to radio donors for free download as a thank you gift.
Closer to Christmas, from Dec. 6-16, the song Season of Hope can be downloaded for free on Food For The Poor’s website.
Moen has collaborated with Food For The Poor since 2004. During Moen’s 2011 six-city Canadian concert tour, he shared stories from his 2010 mission trip with the charity to Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haitien and Shada, Haiti. Inspired to help Moen change lives, generous audiences responded with donations to build 13 new two-room homes in Haiti.
“Part of the charity’s mission is to encourage prayer,” said Robin Mahfood, Food For The Poor’s President/CEO. “Through the prayers of Food For The Poor’s donors, recipients and staff, we as a charity have grown and prospered for more than three decades.”
Food For The Poor has a department that is dedicated to praying for and with donors who have mailed in prayer requests. Thousands of prayer requests are received each month.
