Jeff Alexander

Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

Jeff Alexander, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, is responsible for the financial operations, financial analysis, forecasting and planning, and overseeing the operation of providing programmatic aid to all of Food For The Poor’s (FFTP) partners in Latin America and the Caribbean. This programmatic system includes goods procurement (donated and purchased), logistics, and warehousing.

Jeff is highly focused on developing and improving systems and processes to enhance the organization’s efficiency. His experience, deep understanding of FFTP’s core mission and vision, and expertise in the nonprofit industry are key assets in his ability to evaluate the organization to ensure it fulfills its mission.

Jeff was previously Chief Outcomes Officer, a position he was promoted to after serving as Controller for 19 years. He has worked in various financial roles for the charity since joining the organization in 1992. As Chief Outcomes Officer, Jeff led a newly created department responsible for evaluating all aspects of the organization’s performance, including fundraising and program activities, ultimately combining those responsibilities with his duties as Chief Administrative Officer. For a limited span of years while FFTP searched for a Chief Information Officer, Jeff provided oversight of the Information Technology operation. In this role, he introduced enhanced methods of operating, deployed an enterprise data warehouse and insights that enhanced understanding of the charity’s fundraising operations, and advised the Executive Leadership Team in the assessment of technological priorities.

Jeff was born in New York and raised on Long Island. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. He lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Sondra, and they have two children, both recent graduates of the University of Florida.

“What sets Food For The Poor apart from other NGOs is our humility to acknowledge areas for improvement and commitment to continuous learning. We’re also unique in our deep partnership with supporters, our unwavering dedication to listening to the direct needs of the poor from Day 1, and our steadfast desire to provide solutions through goods, infrastructure, and development initiatives.”
