According to human rights defender, Gérald Guillaume, a shocking 155 rapes were recorded in the department of Grande Anse, with an overwhelming 139 involving minors. This distressing statistic is a stark reminder of the depth of the crisis Haiti faces, and the pressing need for international intervention.

Taiwan has extended a helping hand, donating over 8,000 tonnes of rice to help combat the country’s rising food insecurity.
