MIAMI, FLA. (Aug. 3, 2026) “A month after two earthquakes struck north-central Venezuela, a South Florida organization has mobilized nearly 260,000 pounds of aid as search and recovery efforts continue. Food For The Poor (FFTP), based in Coconut Creek, Broward County, has provided medicines, medical supplies, hygiene kits, food, drinking water and other items to displaced families, many of whom are staying in temporary shelters in Caracas, La Guaira and the surrounding areas.”
