Superstars Angélica Vale and Angélica María Join Food For The Poor to Support Children in Need
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (July 24, 2025) – Two of Latin America’s most beloved and influential entertainers, Angélica Vale and Angélica María, are joining forces with Food For The Poor (FFTP) to bring renewed hope to vulnerable children across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The internationally adored, one-of-a-kind mother-daughter duo – icons throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America – will serve as Angel Ambassadors for FFTP, using their voices and platforms to champion the organization’s mission of delivering life-changing aid and opportunity to children who need it most.
Known as “La Novia de México” (Mexico’s Sweetheart), Angélica María is a true legend of Latin entertainment. Her award-winning career spans decades across music, television, and film, and she continues to inspire and engage new audiences. In addition to her current role in the hit Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer, she also lends her voice to the Disney+ animated series Primos, connecting with an entirely new generation through storytelling and heart.
Her daughter, Angélica Vale, affectionately known as La Vale, is a multi-talented powerhouse – an acclaimed actress, singer, comedian, and radio host. She stars in Univision’s primetime hit Juego de Voces and leads La Vale Show, the #1 Spanish-language morning radio show in Los Angeles on CALI 93.9 FM. A devoted mother of two and a passionate advocate, she continues her family’s legacy of artistry and service.
Over the next 18 months, La Vale and Angelica María will lead a heartfelt, call-to-action campaign to raise awareness for FFTP’s child-focused programs. Through a comprehensive, all-platform media effort, they will rally Spanish-speaking communities around the world to stand with vulnerable children – because compassion knows no borders.
At the heart of this campaign is the Angels Of Hope child sponsorship program, which supports vulnerable children in Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Colombia, and Peru. With thousands of children still waiting for a sponsor, their message is simple but urgent: one act of love can change a child’s future.
In August, FFTP will launch a month-long initiative intended to connect 100 sponsors with vulnerable children in the charity’s faith-based Angels Of Hope group homes in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“As a child, I too was full of dreams,” said La Vale. “Thanks to the opportunities I was given, I was able to achieve many of them. Now, as a mother, I feel a deep calling to help children in Mexico and Latin America who haven’t been as fortunate. With my mother by my side, I know we can help make their dreams come true, too.”
La Vale, who currently sponsors three young girls in Mexico through FFTP, will join her mother on visits to FFTP-supported programs in Mexico and participate in an upcoming mission trip to Guatemala, where they’ll witness the life-changing impact of donor generosity.
“We’re proud to be part of Food For The Poor,” said Angélica María. “It’s a cause close to our hearts – one that will truly change the lives of so many little angels.”
In addition to their artistic achievements, both women share a long-standing commitment to giving back to the Hispanic community. Their partnership with FFTP is a natural extension of that legacy – a reflection of their shared values, deep cultural pride, and compassion for those most in need.
La Vale, a passionate advocate for underserved communities, was recently honored with the Spirit Award by the California Latino Legislative Caucus at the State Capitol in Sacramento, in recognition of her bold leadership, unwavering voice for equity, and her lifelong dedication to uplifting those too often left behind.
This dynamic mother-daughter duo has been honored with individual stars on the internationally renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame and are both cherished for their humility, warmth, and deep connection to their fans. Their decision to join forces with FFTP reflects a heartfelt and personal commitment to giving back – especially to the next generation of children who are too often overlooked and underserved.
“The involvement of these two remarkable women marks a beautiful new chapter in our mission to serve the most vulnerable – with love, legacy, and lasting impact,” said Vivian Borja, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of FFTP. “Their authenticity, kindness, and dedication will help us deepen our connection with donors and inspire even greater generosity.”
According to FFTP President/CEO Ed Raine, who recently visited an Angels Of Hope home near Mexico City, the need is urgent. In Mexico alone, more than 1,100 children are still waiting for sponsors – with hundreds more in neighboring countries.
“Angélica Vale and Angélica María have a unique ability to connect with people on a deeply personal and emotional level,” said Raine. “Their voices, now as ambassadors of hope, will elevate awareness and drive meaningful change. We are truly honored to welcome them into the Food For The Poor family.”
How to Help
FFTP urges compassionate donors to sponsor a child, with ongoing support and commitment for just $34 per month. Every sponsorship provides essential care, education, and emotional support.
With over 8,000 children in 87 homes across Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, the Angels Of Hope program is making a life-changing difference.
