William G. Benson was appointed Chairman of the Food For The Poor Board of Directors in June 2025. A member of the board since 2008, he previously served as Vice Chairman from 2011 to 2025 and Treasurer from 2018 to 2025.

Benson, who also is a member of the board’s Audit Committee, is a certified public accountant and partner at Citrin Cooperman, a leading professional services firm. He is Vice Chair and a member of the Florida Board of Accountancy, Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and serves as Treasurer of the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County.
