“God rained manna upon them for food; bread from heaven He gave them. All ate a meal fit for heroes…” (Psalm 78:24-25a)
In partnership with our compassionate friends at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), Food For The Poor is working to provide nutritious, protein-packed meals ‘fit for heroes.’ FMSC’s MannaPack Rice meals are an easy-to-make, easy-to-transport answer to prayer for hungry families. For children in danger of starvation, these meals are like manna from heaven.
The pouches, which can yield 6 meal-sized servings apiece, require only boiling water to prepare. The formula consists of:
(info via the FMSC website)
– Rice, the most widely accepted grain around the world
– Soy nuggets
– Vitamins, minerals and a vegetarian flavoring
– Dehydrated vegetables
Our partnership with FMSC is doing so much to help hungry, malnourished children throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. According to our remarkably efficient Gifts in Kind Department, in 2013, FFP helped deliver more than 38 million MannaPack meals to people in desperate need of nutrition.
What a blessing!
