Some came decked in shorts and sneakers. Others came sporting sunny yellow T-shirts and khakis.
They all spent time on Tuesday in fellowship and training at Food For The Poor’s main office. These men are part of our Speakers Bureau and were in town for their annual convocation. The speakers are religious leaders who visit churches, schools and businesses throughout America to share our ministry.
Nearly 60 of the 83 speakers joined our staff for a special prayer service.
The service provided the staff a chance to thank the men for all the wonderful work they do to help the poor and destitute in the 17 countries where we serve.
The FFP choir sang. Gratitude was shared. And, this simple prayer was said – in unison – for the speakers:
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
It’s our prayer for you, too.
