Hearts United Community Day
Hearts United Community Day – Toy Drive
Christmas will be brighter for 450 vulnerable children in Jamaica, thanks to Food For The Poor’s generous donors and the caring volunteers who packed dozens of toys and school supplies on Saturday. The second Hearts United Community Day drew nearly 20 volunteers who worked together in the charity’s Coconut Creek, Fla., warehouse to pack these special gifts.
The toys and school supplies will be shipped to donor-supported Angels Of Hope children’s homes in Jamaica ahead of the holiday season. In addition to packing, volunteers also wrote personal messages of love and encouragement on cards for the children.
Thanks to your compassionate contributions, Jamaican children in need will receive comfort and joy for the holiday season. We truly appreciate your outpouring of support to help us serve those less fortunate!
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
(Matthew 19:14, NIV)
