Food For The Poor Delivers Easter Baskets

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (March 20, 2008) – Food For The Poor again reached out to South Florida’s less fortunate children this Easter. Through the generosity of the employees, Easter baskets have been assembled for children living in The Salvation Army shelters in Broward County, The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach, and children living with cancer at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale.

Baskets delivered to the Salvation Army will be distributed by staff to the families they serve at their shelters in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. At Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, Food For The Poor delivered the Easter baskets individually to the children in the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Unit.

The Easter baskets are filled with chocolates, Beanie Babies donated by American Health Society, and Peeps provided by Just Born Inc.
