It’s a beautiful thing to see people working together, using their unique talents, gifts and resources in an effort to help people in need. That’s exactly what our good friends at Scrap Girls are doing.
On April 1, Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking released their biannual charity kit to help raise funds for clean water initiatives throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. A full 100% of the sales of this “Simpler Times” kit will be donated to Food For The Poor.
Twice a year the Scrap Girls design team donates their time and talents to create a kit to support Food For The Poor, with the proceeds helping to install wells for communities in desperate need of water. This is the ninth year that Scrap Girls is creating kits for Food For The Poor. So far this charitable initiative has resulted in the installation of 13 wells in the countries where we serve; most recently in Haiti.
Scrap Girls Founder Rozanne Paxman has said, “Nothing you can do helps a community as much as helping them to have their own well. Not only does it make their lives easier, it decreases mortality significantly.”
Amen!
Life begins and ends with clean water. Having easy access to a reliable source of safe, fresh water can transform the health of an entire community, and help save the lives of vulnerable children. If you want to join Scrap Girls in raising funds for this critical need, you can support this great cause by buying the “Simpler Times” collection. You can also donate directly to the Scrap Girls Champions for the Poor page.
