Hope for Haitians
With the generous support of those who were able to attend the 15th Annual An Evening in the Tropics on Aug. 27 at Giovanni’s Restaurant & Convention Center, homes for 50 families were pledged to be built in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Village in Garde Saline, Haiti. This beautiful village will include 50 homes with sanitation and solar-powered light kits, a community center, a rice mill, 100 goats and a water filtration system.
The event, which drew nearly 400 guests, also featured Ambassador of the Poor awards given to Virginia Canavan, Michael Delany and William Kalma for their solid commitment to the poor.
If you were unable to join us, it’s not too late for you to make a difference! You can still help by providing a gift so that more desperate families can have a dry, secure place to call home.
