COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (April 1, 2013) — Have you ever wanted to possess superhuman powers and strength so you could right injustices in the world? On Oct. 17, you can do just that as you join students to tackle poverty. Host an All-Nighter for the Poor event on your campus in partnership with Food For The Poor.
The All-Nighter for the Poor event is a campus-wide, global initiative developed by Food For The Poor. The goal of the program is to increase awareness about malnutrition and to fund self-sustaining solutions to poverty. Aquaculture and animal husbandry projects are examples of initiatives used to alleviate hunger and break the cycle of generational poverty in developing countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
Interested student organizations can find helpful resources to plan an All-Nighter online. It is a great opportunity for campuses and their student organizations to demonstrate their philanthropic spirit, be creative and have fun for a good cause.

Food For The Poor, named by The Chronicle of Philanthropy as the largest international relief and development organization in the nation, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance, with more than 95 percent of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor.
