FFTP Launches “Triple Tuesday” Campaign for Giving Tuesday, Offering Donors Three Times the Impact
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (Nov. 25, 2025) – Food For The Poor (FFTP) is inviting supporters to take part in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when every gift made to the charity will be matched with $3 worth of food to help children and families facing severe hunger and hardship.
This year’s Triple Tuesday campaign, powered through a generous match from Feed My Starving Children, will provide 3 times the impact on every donation made by midnight on Dec. 2 (up to $750,000), multiplying the impact for communities in urgent need.
“Giving Tuesday is one of the most powerful moments of the year because it brings people together around compassion, generosity, and hope,” said FFTP President/CEO Ed Raine. “This year, the need is overwhelming. Families are being pushed to the breaking point by poverty, conflict, natural disasters, and the rising cost of food. A triple match means we can respond with three times the strength, three times the nutrition, and three times the hope.”
Growing Global Need
Around the world, hunger continues to rise at an alarming pace — more than 350 million children are living in extreme poverty, many facing hunger every single day. In FFTP’s core region of Latin America and the Caribbean, 247.8 million people suffer from food insecurity, with 43 million at crisis levels of hunger. These conditions have been worsened by global disruptions including the lingering effects of the pandemic, armed conflicts, and climate-driven disasters. according to the UN’s 2023 Regional Food Security Overview.
“Every day, we hear from families who are skipping meals or going without food entirely,” Raine said. “No child should suffer from hunger, especially when we have the ability to change that story. Giving Tuesday allows us to stand with parents who are fighting to feed their children.”
A Legacy of Generosity
Since Giving Tuesday began in 2012, supporters worldwide have donated more than $13 billion to efforts that uplift communities. FFTP donors have played a meaningful role in that movement:
- 2024: More than 8.8 million meals provided
- 2023: More than 8.6 million meals distributed
- 2022: 9.4 million meals delivered
- 2021: 100 homes built and $2.2 million in MannaPack meals provided through Feed My Starving Children
“These numbers represent more than meals. They represent dignity, stability, and hope restored,” Raine said. “Our donors have always stepped forward when the world needed them most. This Giving Tuesday, we have an extraordinary opportunity to do even more, together.”
