The Sad Reality of Hunger
Nathalie, 35, prays for a better life for her young children. Dieunica, 11, Wadnerson, 8, and Junior, 6, often go hungry. When there is no money, there is no food. Her husband died, leaving her a poverty-stricken widow with no job, no income and three hungry mouths to feed. Can you imagine going two days without eating?
For Nathalie and her children in Haiti, this is very often the heartbreaking reality. Can you imagine telling your crying 6-year-old there is nothing to eat today and he will have to live with the terrible pain in his empty stomach? Nathalie has to face this, along with the worry that her children are slipping further and further into starvation.
