Beloved Entertainers Angélica María and Angélica Vale to Host Food For The Poor’s “Angels Among Us” in Los Angeles
Intimate benefit event will invite guests to help vulnerable children throughout Latin America and the Caribbean
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (September 23, 2026) – Beloved entertainers and Food For The Poor (FFTP) brand ambassadors Angélica María and Angélica Vale will bring friends and supporters together in Los Angeles for Angels Among Us, a special evening benefiting vulnerable children throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
The event will take place Friday, September 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. PT at Bodega Malbec, 10151 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles.
Guests will hear personal stories from the celebrated mother-daughter duo about why they chose to become advocates for children through FFTP’s Angels Of Hope program. The evening also will include a child-guided virtual tour of an Angels Of Hope children’s home, offering guests a glimpse of daily life through the eyes of a child who lives there.
Attendees will have opportunities to sponsor a child and invest in programs that provide children with safe shelter, nutritious food, education, health care, spiritual development and the consistent support of caring adults.
“Angélica María and Angélica Vale bring extraordinary warmth, authenticity and compassion to this mission,” said FFTP President/CEO Ed Raine. “By sharing their voices and their personal commitment to these children, they are helping others understand that every child deserves to feel safe, loved and hopeful about the future. We are deeply grateful to have them standing beside us.”
The Angélicas’ advocacy already is making a measurable difference. Since FFTP launched its Angels Of Hope campaign with the entertainers as brand ambassadors, 814 children have been sponsored, including 435 in the fourth quarter of 2025 alone.
With an original goal of sponsoring 2,200 children, FFTP hopes to build on that momentum through Angels Among Us and inspire even more people to help provide vulnerable children with the care, stability and opportunities they need to thrive.
The family’s commitment to Angels Of Hope grew from seeing FFTP’s work firsthand. Angélica María and Angélica Vale traveled with FFTP to Mexico and Guatemala, two of the charity’s priority countries, where meeting children and families became a life-changing experience that inspired their family to become child sponsors themselves.
Angélica Vale sponsors four children, including three girls in Mexico and a boy in Guatemala, while Angélica María sponsors three girls in Mexico, and two boys and one girl in Guatemala. Vale’s 14-year-old daughter also has embraced the family’s commitment, sponsoring a girl in Mexico and a boy in Peru.
“When you get to know these children and hear their stories, they become part of your heart,” Angélica María said. “Every child needs to know that someone believes in them, cares about their future and will help them pursue their dreams. I hope this evening inspires people to open their hearts and become an angel of hope for a child.”
Known affectionately as “La Novia de México,” Angélica María is one of Latin America’s most celebrated entertainers. Her career spans music, television and film and has earned her generations of devoted fans throughout the United States, Mexico and Latin America.
Angélica Vale, known to fans as “La Vale,” is an award-winning actress, singer, comedian and radio personality. She stars in Univision’s Juego de Voces.
“As a mother, I believe every child deserves to grow up surrounded by love, encouragement and the chance to build a better future,” Vale said. “My mother and I are proud to use our voices to introduce people to these remarkable children. Together, we can help give them more than assistance. We can give them hope, opportunity and the reassurance that they are not alone.”
Through Angels Of Hope, FFTP works with trusted partners to support children’s homes and provide vulnerable children with a safe and nurturing environment. The program seeks to meet children’s immediate needs while equipping them with the education, guidance and skills necessary to build brighter futures.
Hispanic Group and Meruelo Group are sponsors of the event.
