FFTP Donors Provide More Than 8.5 Million Meals on Giving Tuesday
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (December 5, 2025) – Food For The Poor (FFTP) supporters delivered extraordinary generosity this Giving Tuesday, contributing enough funds to provide more than 8.5 million lifesaving meals for children and families in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year’s Triple Tuesday campaign, made possible through a generous match from Feed My Starving Children (up to $750,000), tripled the impact of every donation made by midnight on December 2.
Each gift became three times the food, three times the stability, and three times the hope for families facing severe hunger.
“Giving Tuesday shines a bright light in a difficult moment,” said FFTP President/CEO Ed Raine. “When families wonder how they will feed their children, these meals are more than nourishment — they are reassurance that they have not been forgotten. I am deeply grateful to every donor who stepped forward. Their compassion is already moving across borders and into the hands of those who need it most.”
Since Giving Tuesday began in 2012, it has grown into one of the world’s largest charitable movements, inspiring billions in global giving. FFTP donors have played a meaningful part in that momentum:
- • 2024: More than 8.8 million meals provided
- • 2023: More than 8.6 million meals provided
- • 2022: 9.4 million meals provided
- • 2021: 100 homes built and significant food provided through partnership with Feed My Starving Children
