A Grateful Farmer Thanks Our Generous Donors

A Champion For The Poor recently funded a chicken farm project and, in turn, changed the life of a man named Gerald.

Gerald had been working small gardening jobs, but was having trouble earning enough to support his family. Since receiving chickens and a coop as part of the farming project, he has begun to sell eggs in his community. Last week, he sold 24 egg flats, or 720 eggs.

Sandy I., one of the donors who helped with this campaign, said, “Food For the Poor has been a definite vehicle for demonstrating Kingdom purpose being fulfilled via your organization and we can see how God’s love for others has shined through the organization.”

Gerald wrote a thank you letter to express his gratitude to the Champion and the donors who have supported this sustainable development project, and to the donors who provided him with a new home:

Good day Sir/Madame,

I want to thank Food For The Poor both in Florida and Jamaica for assisting me by providing a home/house for me and also some birds [chickens and a coop]. The house is very nice and I appreciate all you have done for me. I also want to thank all the sponsors and all who had an input in assisting me. May God continue to bless you all.

Thank you,
Gerald H.
