Beyond The Plate: Ep. 6 - Myrka Dellanos' Co-host, Sadiel Castro, Uniting the Hispanic Community

Sadiel Castro was born in Puerto Rico and later moved to Philadelphia with his parents, who are both pastors. It was there that he began his career in radio broadcasting.
Sadiel established himself as one of the most popular voices on Hispanic radio in Philadelphia, where he served as a morning announcer for over 13 years before rising to the role of Programming Director.
His radio career spanned multiple markets, including Philadelphia, Puerto Rico, Orlando and Tampa, Florida. In 2021, he was honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in digital journalism and television.
In this episode, Sadiel speaks about the revival taking place in Hispanic radio and media, highlighting how artists like Daddy Yankee and others coming to Christ are shining a new light on the fastest-growing segment of the population—Hispanics. He shares powerful stories with Vida Unida and Myrka as they live out God’s purpose and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.
After seeing the work in developing nations like Honduras, personalities like him are given the platform to help others. Whether it’s ministry on-air or inviting audiences to help internationally.
Finally we learn that personal relationships are everything to Sadiel and when he least expects, God turns up and used him to be an instrument of change and healing.
